Galleria @Kotaraya previously known as Plaza Kotaraya is a five-storey shopping centre. It is strategically located in the hub of Johor Bharu Central Business District, surrounded by office buildings, financial institutions, hotel, PERSADA Johor Convention centre, public transportation terminal and tourist attractions. It is now well clustered by retail outlets and government offices particularly with the opening of Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) scheduled in May 2014.
Galleria @Kotaraya which started its operation since 1991, had been revitalized in 2011 involving refurbishment and rebranding exercise to upkeep its market competitiveness, in line with the government’s city centre programme under the Transformation Plan for Johor Bahru City Centre. The shopping centre was re-opened for business in July 2012 with more refreshing modern design equipped with modern facilities and amenities, parking facilities with parking guidance system and offers wide range of retail outlets covering domestic and international brands.
The newly refurbished shopping centre is positioned as boutique mall for pleasant and leisure shopping experience.
The retail mix at Galleria @Kotaraya includes traditional and modern apparels and accessories, books, wellness products, home accessories, beautician centres and many more. Some of these brands are DIY, Butik Avon, Modani, Se Lavinia Boutique and Johor Central Store.
Kapitan Mart which is one of biggest supermarket in Johor Bahru City Centre, has opened its outlet here. The mart measuring 17,000 sf, offers wide varieties comprise products for daily grocery, chilled and frozen, household, baby product, health and beauty etc.
Galleria @Kotaraya is well known for its eating outlets. The food court located at ground floor is a great attraction for visitors to enjoy some of the popular local and western delicacies.
In addition to the above, there are famous fast food restaurants that offer wide food selection such as KFC, Pizza Hut, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Subway, Secret Recipe and Crazy Potato.
Masjid An-Nur Kotaraya
The An-Nur Mosque located at Level 1 and 2 of Galleria@Kotaraya is the first mosque built within a shopping complex. The mosque could cater for 1,000 people at one time and attends to Friday prayer.
Klinik Waqaf An-Nur
Klinik Waqaf An-Nur is targeted to start its operation at Galleria @Kotaraya in May 2014. The clinic was initiated and established by Johor Corporation as one of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the less fortunate society who needs medical services.
The clinic is being managed by the specialist doctors from KPJ Hospital and opened to the public with minimum fee of RM5.00 only for each treatment.
The Angry Birds Activity Park
The Angry Birds Activity Park serves as latest attraction at Galleria @Kotaraya. It is the first of its kind in South East Asia. The park measuring 2,800 sf was designed with the concept adapted from the Angry Birds video game, specifically built for the animation fans aged 12 and below.
The activity park is located at the ground level of Galleria @Kotaraya and opened to public daily with free admission from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
